Storytime Information
Fall story times at the Richmond Memorial Library will begin on Tuesday, September 18. Session I meets September 18 through October 19 and Session II will run from October 30 through December 7. No storytimes Thanksgiving week. Children may register for one session and they must be the appropriate age by the start of the session. Parent or caregiver must remain in the library during all programs. Registration is accepted in person or by telephone 295-6210.
Two-year-olds meet Thursdays with parent or caregiver at 10 AM. Three- and four-year-olds meet Wednesdays or Thursdays at 1 PM; Four- through six-year-olds meet Tuesdays at 10 AM or Fridays at 1PM.
Pop-in storytime Fridays between 10:30AM and noon in October and November. Ms. Patty or Ms. Eileen will pop in briefly with stories, music and games. Children must be supervised by a parent or guardian.
The Richmond Library offers early literacy storytimes for babies through six-year-olds. Our formal storytimes (requiring registration) for ages 2-6 are as follows:
- Fall – 2 five-week sessions (usually Sept-Nov)
- Spring – 2 five-week sessions (usually Feb-April)
At different times of the year, we also offer storytimes such as Book Tots, Music Tots, and Wonderful Ones for babies to 2-yr-olds. Please check the seasonal storytime calendar when available.
Other storytime offerings include Bedtime Stories (May), Lunch Bunch (June), and Stories in the Shade (July). These are subject to change - please check the Library calendar for information.
